March 24, 2022 — Southern Virginia University’s premier a cappella ensemble, Accolade, was one of six collegiate groups selected to perform at the Collegiate Showcase Concert on March 26 in Orlando, Fla. at the National A Cappella Convention (NACC)—one of the biggest vocal music events in the world.

Math Major Co-authors COVID-19 Medical Research Paper Published in International Forum

March 16, 2022 — In conjunction with medical professionals from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Southern Virginia University student Spencer Dennis (‘22) served as the co-first author of the medical research paper “Population differences between COVID-19 and other postviral olfactory dysfunction: Results from a large case-control study” published to the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.

Connecting Campus: University Launches New Knight App

Feb. 18, 2022 — Today Southern Virginia University beta launched its new Knight App with the campus community. A multi-year collaborative process to replace the previous Knight App, several campus offices—including IT, Marketing, and Student Life—worked in counsel with students, faculty, and staff to provide a user-friendly hub for University communication and resources.
