Southern Virginia University Names Clint Bishop Vice President of Marketing

Clint Bishop, VP or Marketing

President Aaron Hale has named Clint Bishop Vice President of Marketing for Southern Virginia University. In this role, Bishop will lead the university’s marketing strategy, brand, and enrollment marketing efforts, working to share SVU’s mission with prospective students, families, alumni, and supporters across the country.

“Growing enrollment is one of our highest priorities. Our goal is to help more students discover a place where they can be known, challenged, and prepared to lead,” said President Hale. “Clint brings the strategic vision, creativity, and mission-minded leadership this moment requires. He understands the opportunity before us, and I’m confident that under his direction, even more students will find their way to this campus and the experience that makes it unique.”

Bishop will work closely with Admissions, Advancement, and academic leaders to support enrollment growth.

“SVU is such a special place. That much is clear when you look at the stories of our students, faculty, and alumni,” said Bishop. “I’m excited to join this team at such a pivotal point in the university’s history and so grateful to President Hale for the trust, confidence, and opportunity. With the new programs that have been and will be announced, I’m eager to help bring more like-minded students who will add to the rich story of SVU and go on to lift others wherever they go.”

Bishop brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing. He most recently served as Vice President of Marketing at Veracity Insurance Solutions, where he played a critical role in leading marketing efforts during the largest five-year growth in company history.

Bishop earned a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration in Management from Utah Valley University.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Bishop is an active member of the community and has served in various leadership and teaching capacities for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife Jana are the proud parents of three incredible children and their black labrador retriever “Griffey.”
