#GivingTuesday: Help Us Fulfill our Vision for the Next 25 Years
From humble beginnings come great things.
After this unforgettable school year, we will begin the new school year next fall by celebrating our 25th Anniversary. We look forward to celebrating this milestone event by recognizing the values, people, and talents that have shaped our first 25 years, and sharing our vision for the next 25 years. We hope you can join us!
Over the course of our first 25 years, we have grown from a small group of dedicated faculty and students into a nationally recognized college with a national enrollment of nearly 1,200 students. We have a tremendous faculty and leadership team, full global accreditation, a pioneering, student-centric, tech-forward education model, corporate and technology partnerships, full NCAA membership, and one of the fastest-growing student bodies in the country. We are united in our mission of Alignment with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Gather, Lift, and Launch. And we are currently on target for yet another record-breaking fall enrollment to kick off our 25th year.
There is something special happening here. We all sense it. We know you have sensed it too. We believe this is an important work, and that what we are doing here is destined to bless many lives. We believe that our service together is important, now and for future generations. We believe that the mission and promise of this place will reach far beyond this first foundational campus.
Our experience is that Heaven responds when people unselfishly give of their means to help others and do good. We believe, as Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin taught, that there is a universal law of compensation, and that kind acts of generosity bring unsolicited and unexpected blessings, often in kind. We certainly believe that the sacrifices that have been made by so many, and the generous support so many have given, have been central in blessing our school and the mission that is unfolding here. Please know how much we appreciate all that you have done, including supporting us through this unforgettable year of 2020. Your faith in us, manifest in the way you have given your time, talents, emotional support, and resources, has helped build a refuge from recent storms and helped cement the foundation of these first 25 years.
As we look to the beginning of 2021, and the beginning of our next 25 years, please know how grateful we are for what you have given, in whatever ways you have been able to give, to make our community what it is today.
As you consider how you can make a difference on this Giving Tuesday, we hope you will consider supporting Southern Virginia University—and help us fulfill the vision of our next 25 years.
