United Nations Foundation VP of Communications to Speak at Forum Feb. 22
Aaron Sherinian, vice president of communications and public relations for the United Nations Foundation, will give a forum address on Friday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. in the Stoddard Center at Southern Virginia University.
Sherinian has served the UN Foundation for four years as the vice president of communications and public relations, where he is in charge of public relations, media, outreach, and online presence for the foundation. The UN Foundation is a public charity organization created to globally advocate and support United Nations causes and activities.
Previously, Sherinian served as the managing director of public affairs of the Millennium Challenge Corporation from 2007 to 2009 and as a Foreign Service officer for the U.S. Department of State from 1996 to 2006.
He graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and Italian literature, and later received a master’s degree in international relations and economics from The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced Studies.
He and his wife, Emily, have three children.
