The Southern Virginia University Honor Council, in conjunction with faculty, staff, and student representatives, will present the annual honor forum, Friday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. in the Stoddard Center at Southern Virginia University.

Members of the Honor Council will present a new, engaging film they created about the honor code. Also, members of the council will distribute a newly revised, one page copy of the university’s honor code to each forum attendee.

Following these presentations from the Honor Council, three members of the Southern Virginia community will speak on their perspectives of the honor code. These speakers will include a student, Allison Walker, a staff member and alumna, Mikaela Byrd, and a faculty member, Jeremiah John.

The talks will focus on the unity that develops when all members of the Southern Virginia community support and follow the honor code. This annual forum — devoted solely to honor — is designed to instill in students, faculty, and staff a desire to build upon the foundation of honor at Southern Virginia University.

Community members and Southern Virginia faculty, staff and students are invited to hear forum and devotional speakers each Friday morning at 11 a.m. in the Stoddard Center. Recordings of past forum and devotional speeches may be accessed online.
