Administration Seeks Applicants for Provost

Southern Virginia University seeks nominations and applications for the position of provost.

The provost is the chief academic officer at the university and reports to the president. She or he serves on the executive and president’s councils, chairs the academic affairs committee and leads the university in the president’s absence.

Applications and nominations will be accepted until the position is filled. Confidential inquiries should be directed to President Rodney K. Smith at 540–261–8436. To be given full consideration, application materials should be submitted by Dec. 31, 2010. Applicants should submit a cover letter, complete curriculum vitae and at least three references to the office of Human Resources via email (hr@svu.edu) or fax (540–261–8451).
